Dedicated to Evidence and Collaboration

I got into politics out of frustration with the status quo of making decisions for popularity or to win votes. Politicians are elected to take care of their constituents, not their own jobs. As such, decisions made on council should consider all residents for seven generations ahead, not just the current election cycle.

While I would love a full-on progressive council and mayor, the reality is that it is you, the voter, who decides this. I am committed to working collaboratively and respectfully with whoever Coquitlam decides to send to our municipal government.

I am a believer in disagreeing without being disagreeable.

Involved in Our Community

While I have only lived in Coquitlam for a few years, I have been deeply involved in with volunteer organizations in the Tri-Cities, especially with youth.

I am president of our local Rotaract club and as such volunteer with the Rotary clubs as well; I work with YouthCO and the MPowerment program, Force of Nature, the BC Health Coalition and Youth4PR.

I am especially engaged with the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Program!

Politically Engaged

Some folks may remember that I ran as the Green candidate for the 2017 Provincial Elections in Coquitlam – Burke Mountain. This was a landmark victory for the Green movement in North America that saw us finally ditch the regular 4% and jump to a whopping 16%. I am deeply honoured for the support I received in Coquitlam!

I am currently Co-Chair of the Young Greens of Canada, the national Green youth movement, and I work on federal council directly with Elizabeth May, an award winning parliamentarian.

I am also a huge advocate for a fairer voting system, and I volunteer with the Youth4pr movement. Our goal is to see more youth get politically involved!

Small Business Owner

I have been the proud owner of Green Designs Landscaping since June of 2017. My company is dedicated to providing top-notch landscape services that are socially responsible.

At Green Designs I use manual and electric equipment which allows me to operate with lower costs to my clients, and I purchase carbon offsets for any emissions I produce.

Green Designs Landscaping is a proud member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.

While I was born in the city of Chilliwack, I take great pride in having spent many years overseas learning other cultures and ways of life.

I am fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese and continue to learn how things are done differently around the world.

One of my favourite parts of Coquitlam is our diversity: over 40% of residents don’t speak English as their native language, a fine example of the beautiful mosaic that makes up this great country of ours. I believe experience in cross-cultural communications is a valuable skill in Coquitlam politics.
